FAIL: Liberal Journalist Tries to Buy a Gun from Walmart, Gets DENIED

0

A liberal journalist just got a rude awakening after trying to prove how “easy” it is to purchase a firearm at Walmart.

Business Insider reporter Hayley Peterson said she called a number of locations, soon learning that most Walmarts don’t actually sell firearms anymore. Those that do only carry low-end rifles. Walmart, America’s largest and most popular retailer, stopped selling handguns in the 1990s and semi-automatic weapons in general in 2015.

No doubt expecting an easy in-and-out experience, Peterson was instead told to fill out extensive paperwork — and told to return with more government documentation to verify her personal information. The progressive reporter was forced to admit that purchasing a firearm is not as easy as her peers seem to believe.

“Overall, the experience left me with the impression that buying a gun at Walmart is more complicated than I expected, and that Walmart takes gun sales and security pretty seriously,” Peterson wrote.

Now, let’s be fair for a second. Sure, there is a delicious irony in seeing a liberal journalist being hit by reality like a brick. That’s pretty enjoyable. But we do have to commend her honesty here. Upon learning that the left is pretty much lying about how easy it is to buy guns, she could have just dropped the story. After all, it doesn’t fit the narrative the mainstream media wants to promote. But she didn’t, and she should get credit for that.

Even so, a well-deserved “told ya so” seems to be in order.

There’s a lot more to unpack in this story, so here’s Tim Pool with more.
