Norma Introduces New Organ-Piercing Hunting Ammunition
Swedish ammunition manufacturer Norma has unveiled a new product the company says will make hunting easier than ever.
TIPSTRIKE, the new ammunition, is designed to provide shooters with enhanced stopping power to allow hunters to take on big game. The company says the bullets provide improved energy transfer that can bring targets down by penetrating major organs. Norma credits the unique capability of the rounds to the bullet jacket, which is reinforced with a mechanical lock. This bullet jack is marketed as being crucial for immediate stoppage.
“TIPSTRIKE is a great all-around hunting cartridge that is designed to deliver a clean kill on even the toughest of big game,” said Paul Lemke, General Manager for RUAG Ammotec USA. “With the perfect combination of enhanced penetration and delayed expansion, TIPSTRIKE ensures that hunters across the country won’t have to spend time tracking wounded game this fall.”
Norma is making TIPSTRIKE available in the following configurations:
- 243 Win 76gr
- 280 Rem 160gr
- 300 Win Mag 170gr
- 30-06 170gr
- 308 Win 170gr
- 7mm Rem Mag 160gr
- 7mm-08 Rem 160gr
Norma has been making ammunition for shooting sports since 1902. The company is currently a subsidiary of RUAG Ammotec.
With spring coming closer every day, now seems like as good of a time as any for hunters to stock up on the latest and greatest. Being prepared now means more time for hunting in the fall. Luckily, there’s plenty of time to test this new product out before hitting the hunting trail.
