The REAL Guns Keanu Reeves Uses in ‘John Wick’

If loud explosions and hails of gunfire describe your favorite action films, you probably feel like they just don’t make movies like they used to — and you’re right.

The action film industry today is plagued by an over-saturation of superhero films, all of which seem to imitate each other. Because of this, films like the John Wick series starring Keanu Reeves (of Matrix fame) feel like a breath of fresh air. The best part? All of the gun fighting you see in the movie is hyper-realistic, and the star of the film had to undergo some serious training just to pull it off in front of a camera.

Considering this, it’s no surprise that a big chunk of the fan base for the series are gun owners. Producers for the series clearly put a lot of energy into researching firearms and the culture that surrounds it — not exactly typical for lefty Hollywood.

Today, we’re going to look at some of the handguns used in the films, specifically a TTI-tuned Glock 34 Combat Master used in John Wick 2, and aSTI 2011 Combat Master for the upcoming John Wick 3.

How do these sidearms hold up on the range? Watch the video below to find out.
