TriggrCon 2018 Recap: The Biggest Takeaways from the Show

In what was likely a romping good time, TriggrCon 2018 ended in late July, but the aftershocks continue to be enjoyed by firearm enthusiasts from around the country.

From innovative updates of current models to retro guns to futuristic firearms, more than 100 companies showcased their wares and accessories at this fourth annual TriggrCon. The four-day celebration of gun culture allowed fans to meet their favorite firearm and accessory manufacturers, and new entrants in the market to share their brand with a wider swath of their core market and learn from their competitors. Plus, there was a lot of cool stuff — much of it showcased at the Golden Triggr Awards at the end of the week.

Range Day

One of the biggest highlights of the gun extravaganza was the Range Day, sponsored by Sig Sauer Company, where there were a wide range of weapons on hand and plenty of targets for patrons to annihilate. Guns and ammunition for the day were provided by Rainier Munitions, with several seminars available for free as a part of the event including pistol trigger control, reloading, managing recoil and dry fire management.

Innovation on Hand

The founder and organizer of TriggrCon, John Hwang, originally brought the show to life in order to interface with customers, but has since expanded the mission and scale of the event. The manufacturers that are invited to the show are hand-selected to create a cross-section of the industry that allows gun enthusiasts unprecedented access to their favorite brands. This is the place where many manufacturers go to launch new and innovative gun and accessory brands, or introduce new products to the market on a smaller scale to gain feedback before a broader release. The unique aspects of this show allow potential customers and brands a very intimate setting where they can interface and learn from each other.

Safer and More Accurate Weapons

Many of the manufacturers that attend the event are focused on showing how their products fit a specific need within the industry. This often means solving problems that customers continue to encounter with the products that are currently on the market. They are looking for ways to make the weapons more accurate, easier to use and ultimately safer to work with. Parts manufacturers in particular were in good supply during the four-day event held in Bellevue, Washington.

After only four years, TriggrCon is set to become the industry standard for consumer gun shows, where brands come to bring new innovation to life and fans are able to interact closely with their favorite brands. Plus, there’s always plenty of time to geek out over the new and exciting firearms that the future will bring!
