5 More Celebrities That LOVE Their Guns

0

You don’t need to know a whole lot about Hollywood or firearms to understand that the two aren’t exactly on speaking terms. The entertainment industry is known to support every progressive position you can think of, but there are a few who break from the hivemind.

Some celebrities are actually very outspoken about their love of firearms. This can be due to a history of using firearms with their families growing up, a love of hunting or shooting sports, and even an interest in personal safety that comes from being in the public eye. Whatever the reason, here are some celebrities who just plain love their guns, and they aren’t afraid to talk about it.

Vince Vaughn

In an interview with the magazine GQ a few years ago, Vince Vaughn talked about his full support of the Second Amendment. He felt that the right to bear arms is important to “resist the supreme power of an abusive government.” For a well-known comedic actor, who has appeared in films such as “Wedding Crashers” and “Couples Retreat,” this is a brave stance to take, especially in such a high level publication. California is very well-known to have restrictive gun laws, which doesn’t make it easy to own firearms.

James Earl Jones

The man with the famously deep voice who is also the one who plays Simba’s father, Mustafa in the “Lion King” is James Earl Jones. He is also the voice of Darth Vader in “Star Wars.” A longtime member of the NRA, Jones also believes in his right to have guns in his home. In other interviews that he’s given he’s may it clear that it’s a personal safety issue. He’s talked about the criminal element having guns, so law-abiding citizens should be able to have them too.

Miranda Lambert

As a southern country gal and famous singer, Miranda Lambert is very outspoken about gun safety. She grew up with guns and in interviews says that she owns a pistol for protection. Her songs even talk about guns. “Gunpowder and Lead” and “Time to Get a Gun” are just two of them. Being from Texas probably helped put her firmly in the pro-gun category, since Texas is known for its love of the all mighty firearm.

Tom Selleck

This “Magnum P.I.” and “Blue Bloods” actor has been a long time outdoorsman and gun supporter. At one point, he even teamed up with the NRA, and their National Firearms Museum to show off his large collection of firearms in an exhibit at a Cabela’s outdoor store in Nevada. Some of those weapons included the Shiloh Sharps #3 Rifle, a .45 Smith & Wesson Revolver, a Winchester 1876, and a Colt SSA with ivory handle that was a reproduction. All of these firearms were ones that were used in various movies or television shows that Selleck did over the years.

Eric Clapton

Singer and songwriter Eric Clapton is a well-known gun fan. He even sold a bunch of them at an auction a few years ago. This included 13 shotguns that sold for well over half a million dollars. Clapton even has a dedicated gun room in his home. He also hunts, but has admitted that he’s not the best shot.
