Umarex is well known throughout the world for its airgun replicas. Companies like Beretta, Smith & Wesson and Walther are all part of the Umarex lineup. Now the Umarex Glock replica has gotten the green light.
Umarex announced Friday that is has received the first worldwide license from Glock for the reproduction of its internationally recognized pistols.
Categories for the future Umarex Glock pistol builds will include “Airguns” (4.5mm/.177) and “Airsoft” (6mm).
Distribution of the Umarex Glock pistols in the U.S. is expected to begin first quarter 2018.
According to a release from Umarex, “the license allows the replicas to carry the original markings and be marketed in authentic packaging.”
“For years now, the trust between our two companies has been growing and we are looking forward to further developing this relationship with Glock,” Eyck Pflaumer, managing partner of Umarex, said in a statement. “From November 2017 onwards, gun fans will find the first replicas of these famous pistols in outdoor retail locations almost everywhere in the world.”
