NRA Membership Soars After Gun Control Push

After the tragic school shooting that took place in Florida, there was another orchestrated campaign against law-abiding gun owners everywhere.

Carried out by the biased media, there was a coordinated campaign to try and and attack legal gun owners in the immediate aftermath. Without any attention or mourning for the victims of this tragic event, gun owners were immediately the target following the events that took place in Parkland, Florida.

While the media did miss again, this campaign was not spontaneous. Before any of the facts were known — before the scene of the crime had even been investigated — the media began their reporting immediately. They had their typical prepared scripts, which were paraded in front of the camera and the standard diatribe unfolded. They spent countless dollars on a public relations smear campaign targeting owners who had purchased their firearms legally. Time after time, the mainstream media lies to the American public about firearms, shootings, and what should be done. This time, the public has become fed up and the lies are being thrown back at the media.

According to the media, there is an epidemic of mass shootings in this country — even though there is statistical evidence showing that violent crime is at an all-time low. While every shooting, every murder, and every life lost is a tragedy, the media claims that the people who didn’t commit these acts must be disarmed. Even suicides qualify as a “mass shooting.” The fact remains that those who carry guns legally are often more law abiding than the police themselves.

In response to all this, membership at numerous law-abiding gun organizations has been on the rise. The Second Amendment Foundation, an organization dedicated to the protection of constitutional rights, has gone up 10-fold since the events that took place in Parkland, Florida. Furthermore, the number of people searching to join the NRA has skyrocketed as well.

This can only mean that the membership at the NRA has increased along with these searches. While the NRA has not released the official facts and figures regarding its membership since the shooting, it isn’t a large leap to connect the increase in NRA membership searches to an increase in actual membership. Clearly, the public has grown tired of the vitriol spewed by the mainstream media and is looking to do something about it.

Without resistance from the American public, the rights of everyone will continue to be infringed upon. It is vital for people everywhere to continue to let their lawmakers know that this violation will not be tolerated. If they will not listen to our voices, they will be forced to listen to our votes.

Seeing as politicians have a tendency to simply ignore their constituents, perhaps an NRA membership is the best way to voice this opinion.
