Some Surprising Celebrities Who LOVE the Second Amendment
You are probably aware that it’s not very popular to be in the public eye and being pro-gun at the same time. Most Hollywood figures are more than happy to tout the talking points the libral media feeds them — especially about guns.
However, there are some celebrities who are firmly in the corner of the Second Amendment — and are not afraid to speak out about it. Here are some surprising celebrities and sports stars who are pro-gun rights that you may not have known about”
Brad Pitt
Even though he has played an action star in films like “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” “Fury,” “World War Z,” and the seriously violent film “Inglorious Bastards,” Brad has also said in many interviews that he is a responsible gun owner in real life. He even mentioned that his grandfather handed him down his first shotgun when he was just five-years-old. So you can probably assume that his grandfather also took him out back and taught him how to shoot one as well. He also went further to admit that he didn’t feel safe in his own home unless he had a gun hidden somewhere.
Jeremy Renner
Most famous for using a cross-bow in the Marvel superhero franchise as the Avenger Hawkeye, Renner spends much of his time on his secluded property surrounded by nature in California. He also believes that teaching gun safety should start at home with children’s parents. He also doesn’t believe movies or video games contribute to gun violence. Owning guns himself, he also believes that it’s our right to do so and that shouldn’t be taken away any time soon.
David Spade
Comedian and former SNL star David Spade is from Arizona. Growing up in the west, he has said that his single mom used to take him and his siblings out to the desert to practice shooting before they were even teenagers. They each had a different gun to shoot, a rifle, a pistol, and a shotgun.
Amber Heard
Even though she was briefly married to Johnny Depp, Amber is a strong woman with her own opinions on gun ownership. The 33-year-old actress even admits to owning a few guns and that she’s a “pretty good shot.” She has said that the .357 Magnum is her preferred firearm of choice to keep safely locked up in her home for protection.
LeBron James
Former Cavs All-Star, LeBron James may make his home now with the LA Lakers, but that doesn’t mean that being a Californian is making him soft on gun rights. He has said that he is a responsible gun owner and he has even shown videos of himself at the shooting-range with his wife, Savannah.
Charles Barkley
Infamous basketball great and now NBA commentator Charles Barkely is very outspoken on just about every subject — including gun rights. He admits to carrying his own weapon, but also thinks that owning firearms for hunting and protection is very important.
